Yes, the SpeedController has the very protection level IP68, provided either the AirSpeed Sensor or TrueSpeed Sensor is connected.
The SpeedController batteries are charged ONLY through Power over Ethernet (PoE+). As not every company has a PoE+ network, we supply the Connect-and-Charge switch with the SpeedController.
The SpeedController has a built-in database to store all your AirSpeed and TrueSpeed Sensor measurements.
In the database you can also set up your paper machine(s), its machine clothing positions, and the location where you measured (like “at the stretch roll”), including an indicator for Tender Side and Drive Side.
This way you can precisely allocate your measurement to a felt or forming fabric, making it easier to make baselines or detect trends in the measuring results.
No, an internet connection is not required to do measurements or to download the measurement data to your pc. Internet is only needed to download the free software updates.
Currently, the SpeedController’s user interface only supports English. In the future more languages will follow with the free software updates.
